Overview

A well-established, product-driven company based in Dublin is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to help shape and enhance backend systems that power a suite of high-traffic web applications. This is a hands-on role with room for future growth into a technical leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend features using PHP and modern frameworks (Laravel/Symfony)

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to plan and implement scalable system architecture

• Write clean, efficient, and testable code

• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions

• Contribute to DevOps and cloud deployment workflows using AWS and Docker

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience working with PHP and frameworks like Laravel or Symfony

• Strong understanding of MySQL (or PostgreSQL), RESTful APIs, and Git workflows

• Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and containerisation (Docker)

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Mentoring experience is a plus, but not essential
